01 / MATERIALAN ALGARVE SENSIBILITY
A floor that holds the light.
Warm ivory, sandy mineral chips and the Algarve's changing light: terrazzo can connect rooms without overwhelming the architecture. For private villas and premium holiday homes, the final impression depends on the whole floor – not just a small sample.
VIA describes a lime-bound cast terrazzo that can, subject to the system conditions, be dry-ground after around 24 hours. This is not a completion promise: substrate, climate, thresholds and use define the actual programme.

Select aggregate, binder colour and grinding finish with physical samples.

Finish with staged grinding, suitable protection and a material-specific care handover.

Questions about new VIA terrazzo floors
Is cast VIA terrazzo the same as terrazzo tiles?
No. This page is about a seamless cast-in-place floor. Coordinating terrazzo tiles may be used for details if the design and specification call for them.
Can it be installed during a renovation?
Possibly, after assessing load capacity, height, moisture, movement joints and thresholds in the existing property.
Is this floor suitable next to the pool?
No blanket approval should be assumed. Wet slip performance, waterproofing, exposure and manufacturer approval must be checked for the specific area.
